Sustainability

Sustainable development of an organization is an ongoing process and can be approached in multiple ways. Often, the actions that can be taken also vary between companies. Some simple actions that can be implemented by any business include offering environmentally friendly products, separating waste, or reducing energy consumption through measures like using LED lighting.

At FF-PACKAGING, we are actively engaged in making our organization more sustainable. We are doing this both in our product offerings and in our internal processes.

Product Offerings
A significant step in making our product offerings more sustainable was taken by selling one-third of our total product range with FSC®-certified paper. Additionally, we provide our customers with environmentally friendly alternatives for all our products. Take, for example, our ZEROTREE® bags, where no paper is used, and therefore, no trees are cut down.

Furthermore, we have set a goal for the coming years:

To make FF-PACKAGING a successful, progressive, and responsible organization with little to no negative impact on people and the environment through three pillars:

  • Sustainability in our products, policies, and services.
  • Providing our employees with opportunities for development.
  • Operating 100% carbon neutral.

Internally
Internally, we are also working on sustainability. A good example of this is that many of our processes still involve printing, and we are actively transitioning from partially physical to entirely digital. This means that we will no longer need to print, saving paper, energy, and ink!

This transition does not happen overnight; many adjustments are needed in our daily workflow, but we are actively working on it. A notable achievement is the reduction in paper usage over the past year. This has saved 276 packs of paper with 500 sheets each, equivalent to saving approximately 2 trees per year that do not need to be cut down!
