From June 26 to 29, it's that time again: Defqon 1, the world's largest hardstyle festival, takes place in Biddinghuizen. For four days, tens of thousands of fans of hard electronic music from all over the world come together for an experience that goes far beyond just music.
Behind the scenes, every detail is meticulously arranged – including for the artists. This year, we were invited by Italian restaurant Da Pietro from Elburg to contribute to a special gift for the artists: a luxury gift box, specially developed for this unique festival moment.
DEFQON.1: Where Legends Rise
The festival is organized annually by Q-dance and is known for its impressive stage designs, pyrotechnic shows, and a line-up full of international top DJs within the harder styles – from hardstyle to hardcore and everything in between.
With visitors from over 100 countries, Defqon 1 is not just a music festival but a total experience where community, immersion, and expression come together. Each edition ends in spectacular fashion with “The Endshow” – a visual spectacle streamed worldwide, attracting millions of views.
Da Pietro Elburg provides exclusive artist dinner
Da Pietro is an atmospheric Italian restaurant in the heart of Elburg, known for its refined cuisine, authentic flavors, and warm hospitality. The restaurant combines classic Italian recipes with a modern touch and is highly regarded in the region for both the quality of the food and the overall experience it offers.
For Defqon 1 2025, Da Pietro was asked to provide the exclusive artist dinner on Wednesday, June 26. In addition to a culinary highlight, Da Pietro wanted to give the artists something tangible and personal – a unique token of appreciation that reflects the spirit of the festival.
Custom packaging for a memorable gesture
Together with Da Pietro, we at FF-PACKAGING developed a luxury gift box that perfectly reflects both the refined style of the restaurant and the strong visual identity of Defqon 1. The design was entirely created by our in-house graphic studio and features a marble-look background and gold-colored hot stamp accents for an exclusive finish.
The packaging includes:
- A sturdy luxury box with separate lid
- A custom cardboard inlay
- Two miniature chocolate bottles
The result is a gift that is not only tasteful in content but also visually impressive. Exactly what you’d expect at a festival where everything revolves around experience and detail.
