Nobels Drinks is an iconic brand from Ameland, loved for its distinctive herbal liqueur and deep island traditions. What started as a family recipe has grown into a trusted and cherished product among both locals and visitors. The drink symbolizes hospitality, quality, and the authentic Ameland spirit.
To visually and tangibly express this unique identity, we had the opportunity to develop a series of high-quality packaging designs that bring the story of Nobels Drinks to life. These products are used in the tasting rooms, the hotel, the restaurant, and the gift shop of Nobels. In addition, we created a special limited edition line to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM). Part of the proceeds from these anniversary packages goes to KNRM volunteers – a beautiful gesture that reflects the connection to the island and the sea.

Luxury boxes with inlay
The experience of a product begins with the packaging. For Nobels Drinks, we developed luxury gift boxes with custom inlays. These sturdy, beautifully finished boxes not only protect the contents during transport, but also turn unboxing into a real experience. The inlay is designed to hold a Nobels bottle and two matching shot glasses securely and elegantly. A chic and thoughtful presentation that matches the exclusivity of the brand.
Cotton tote bags
As a sustainable and stylish extension of the brand identity, we designed cotton bags with custom prints. These bags are ideal as gift bags for gift sets or as corporate gifts. They are reusable, providing a subtle yet effective way to increase brand visibility. Practical, environmentally conscious, and detail-oriented.
Printed coasters
Brand experience is often in the small details. The printed coasters we designed are perfectly aligned with Nobels Drinks’ branding. Used in the tasting room and hospitality venues, they add an extra touch of flair to every served glass. Fully colored, functional, and recognizable.
Bottle tubes – limited edition KNRM
To mark KNRM's anniversary, we developed exclusive bottle tubes. These round boxes provide a stylish packaging for a single bottle of Nobels, ideal as a gift or collector's item. Sturdy, printed in both Nobels and KNRM styles, and filled with details that enhance a luxurious appearance. A great example of how design, emotion, and functionality come together.
Elastic-bound pocket booklets – limited edition KNRM
Part of the limited edition line is also a compact booklet. This booklet is attached around the neck of the bottle with an elastic band and contains stories about both Nobels and the KNRM. It’s a small but impactful detail that adds depth and experience to the drinking moment, fitting the brand’s character.
Hardcover book ‘The strongest stories of Ameland’
For those who want to learn more about the origin of Nobels Drinks and the heroic stories of the KNRM, we delivered a hardcover book. The strongest stories of Ameland allows Hotel Nobel to give extra attention to KNRM’s volunteers and pay tribute to their dedication and unique stories. Richly illustrated, atmospherically designed, and filled with anecdotes, photos, and background information. The book tells not just the story of the drink, but also that of the island and the rescue service – a valuable addition for fans of history, branding, and great stories.
A harmonious whole
The end result is a collection of packaging and print work that together tell a strong, consistent, and layered story. Each item contributes to the brand experience of Nobels Drinks: a brand that stands for quality, authenticity, tradition, and commitment.
